Thailand #1: Golden triangle and tropical beaches - Ko Phangan, Ko Tao, Ko Chang Bangkok the city of the angels is the turntable for journeys in completely Southeast Asia. In the north of Thailand are living 6 ethnical minorities. The Karen, Hmong, Mien, Lahu, Akha and Lisu have partially different traditions. However one is common to many: the cultivation of opium. The Karen lives usually at the border to Burma and are the only of the 6 tribes which uses elephants to the work. This mountain tripes leads occasional military conflicts in Burma against the government. It is common to all other mountain tripes that they has been immigrated from Laos and south China to the north of Thailand. From Pai, a small place between Chiang May and Mae Hong Son many mountain tripes can be visited in short time discoveries. In addition several caves are in the region. The east coast and the west coast of south Thailand are not comparable. In the west there are rugged rock cliffs in the east flattened, which defines the beaches. No island is like the other.
