01.08.2002 Erhard Eppler World social politics after 11 September
A state, which gives its force monopoly to private hands, brings itself in danger. The rising of large social inequalities within a state creates de-nationalized forces. A neo liberal state is not survivable.
Also the neo liberal version of the globalisation creates a measure of social inequality that blows up individual societies and de-nationalizes the power. The economy and the market are working where the policy sets a framework. Where there is no right security, the economy is at the end. This framework must consist of in the long term future-qualified definitions in legal, social and ecological regards. Without functioning institutions there cannot be development. Where de-nationalized forces rules are missing future prospects and it is following killing, hunger and illiteracy.
Who does itself behave as exclusive totalitarian state in the today's world with regard to foreign policy will unsuccessfully remain, it endangered also its security. It produces criticism, which accelerates the terrorism by its stubborn acting. The leaders of this world can be only successful in a multilateral agreement. Uni-lateralism does not have a chance in a "world risk company".

02.08.02 Milton Friedmann Economist 90 years old
Milton Friedmann, the "brain" of the economic liberalism, becomes 90 years old. Friedmann belonged despite the criticism, that his laissez fair liberalism serves only enterprises and let die by hunger the poor, to the most influential economists of the 20th century.
Its liberalism was carried out particularly by Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher in the 80's. In this time in Great Britain was entitled to the enterprises more self-control. The consequences were to be felt world-wide, how the mad cow disease and hormone scandals showed.

01.08.2002 Freiburg - Baden
Christopher Street Day; NPD demonstration
Last weekend in Freiburg took place for the first time the Christopher Street Day parade. 20,000 visitors pursued the parade from the edges of the roads. At the parade took part, by according of the organizer, 7,500 persons. With the Christopher Street Day parade are demonstrating lesbians, gays, Bi and Trans-sexuelles against their discrimination.
Another demonstration procures the citizens of Freiburg substantially more. On 14 September a demonstration of the right-wing extremists NPD is to take place here. The city wants to prevent the demonstration but has however, like earlier examples from other places showed, hardly a right chance to intersperse their prohibition. The police prepares itself forward with around 1000 officials on the marching-up of the right-wing extremists and a counter demonstration.

04.08.02 Federal Constitutional Court - Karlsruhe
Consumer protection by right of information secured
The Federal Government may publish warning references for consumers, decided today the Federal Constitutional Court. Current crises in the agrarian and foodstuffs sector showed how importantly public informations are by the part of the public authority. A personal responsibility alone on companies side contains the risk of one-sided and interest-led consumer information. The red-green Federal Government would like to create a consumer information law, in order to occur for transparency on the market. The CDU rejected this law in the Upper House of Parliament. Does it come now to the "end" of the consumer information on 22 September by the election to the German Parliament?

06.08.02 Germany world champion.......!
.......at the wind force
No country in the world produces as much electricity from wind than Germany. More than 10,000 megawatts are distributed on over 12.000 wind power plants. For that reason the wind force serves to the climatic protection goal of reducing the carbon dioxide output. Approx. 40,000 jobs were created directly in the last years thereby, even 120,000 including approaching companies. The industry compiles this year 3.5 to 4.0 billion euro in small and medium-sized enterprises. The large current companies play thereby no role.
Up to 25 % of requirements of electric current in Germany can come from wind force. Some are criticizing a destroying of the landscape. By the earth warming however also in Germany tempests take place, which like the hurricane Lothar of 1999 are destroying a whole landscape region like the Black Forest. In the Ortenaukreis south of Lahr several wind power plants stands and gave a witness from the "recent" time. The election to the German Parliament on 22 September decides also, in which direction the "new" political "climate" develops.
