10.07.02 Lahr-Baden Erhard Eppler speaks in the slaughterhouse about globalisation
Erhard Eppler, a prominent philosopher of the SPD places today his new book: from the force monopoly to the force market. The largest challenge for him in the 21. century is the privatisation and commercialisation of the force, the Neo-liberalism and the increasing gap between poor and rich as the reason of the modern terrorism. For Erhard Eppler, the former Secretary for Economic Aid to Developing Countries, the modern terrorism pursues not political or religious goals, but only power and economic profit. National power is always more taken over to safety organizations and "war rulers". In Africa for example are only few States under control of its governments and in Germany more person are employed in security agencies than policeman by the government.
A further danger consists in that the economic power of enterprises is often larger than the possibilities of a state. Its governments become more and more to the playing ball for profit speculations. War and terrorism is used from the new war lords for stock exchange profits. The political solution against this development is for Eppler the implementation of the social justice and the exclusive national force monopoly.

06.07.2002 world music
Manu Chao
The Latino Rocker Manu Chao has for created as first Frenchman with its hit Clandestine the first place of the European hit parade. After the end of the group of Mano Negra, Manu Chao went his way alone. It brought two albums out: Esperanza and Clandestine and sings Spanish with French accent. Today he sees himself as citizen of the world and a witness against the suppression. It played in Mexico in front of 150.000 persons, who came under the commander Marcos and in Geneva in July 2001 to support the globalisation opponents during the G8 summit. He don't like to be arranged however of nobody in a classification. Manu Chao is for me with its music and his texts the counterpart to Tracy Chapman.
Manu Chao, continue to go your way......
