Kyoto protocol
Germany has nearly already reached 10 years before the set period of 2012 the Kyoto agreement of its climatic goal. In the agreement Germany is obliged to decrease the greenhouse gases about 21 % against 1990. The international climatic goals must be increased however clearly to avoid malaria, harvest losses, fresh water emergency and a cold time in Europe. To this result comes the scientific adviser of the Federal Government of Germany for global environmental questions.
With the beginning of the industrialization time the middle temperature already increased by 0,6 degrees. The global output of carbon dioxide must be reduced until 2050 to the comparison to the year 1990 by 45 to 60 %, in order to avoid a further temperature rise. The industrialized countries are on a good way up to then, however international companies shift their production in cheap wage countries whose environmental regulations do not reach national and European level.

Africa, China
Malaria cure
Three million humans die annually, particularly in Africa, by malaria. Medicines are often exorbitant for the concerned and offer not sufficient protection. In China was developped now from the Chinese plant artemesia annua a hybrid plant with an active substance with increased concentration. The plant grows in the tropics and can be taken by tea.
The association Keniamed e.V. tries now to promote in Kenya, Zaire, Uganda, Tanzania and South Africa the plant and their cultivation so that the population can cultivate locally this natural medicine.

War for democracy
Surveillance of the democracy
The world lives in the contradiction. The war against the Iraq now is not more justified by the destruction of mas weapons because these were not found. The new war reason is to put democracy into the region. A further new reason is the fight against the terrorism although a connection between the terrorism of 11 September and the Iraq was never been proven.
Democracy on one side is wished and on the other side at home unwished to prevent criticism at the war guidance. The right to free expression of opinion is limited by surveillance by secret servises and the menace by legal and social disadvantages of the critics.
The highly explosive situation in the Iraq developed due to the absence of national jurisdiction. America is not accepted as a power of freedom and the opponents flows into the country like once the Arab fighters to Afghanistan in their fight against the Soviet Union. Here now is be performed a base for their fight. Not a second Viet Nam is to be feard but a long guerrilla war as in Afghanistan.

Germany - Lahr
Chrysanthemums charms
The sixth chrysanthemums charm reached this year a new spectator record. In the last year there have been counted 150,000 visitors. In this year 30,000 more could be counted. As each year the city of Lahr is beeing transformed in the autumn time by associations from Germany, France and Switzerland in different styles and arts into multicolored flower houses and streets.
