The European condition, Vote of the European commission
Rome is the historical place of the establishment of the European Community in 1957 the so-called Roman contracts. Today now 25 state and heads of governments from the member states of the EU as well as the 3 entry candidates Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania signed the European condition. Before preceded numerous conflicts over majority models for decision making. The according will enter into force on 01 November 2006.
The European Parliament selected the new European Union Commission in the second approach in Strasbourg. At the first suggestion for the occupation of different posts no majority could be drawn.

Fight of the cultures?
The Netherlands - Germany
The increasing force in connection with religious and cultural background is causing concern. Prominent politicians should ask themselves, them radiate which negative influence by public explanations about parallel societies and Islamising they contribute themselves to the conflict and which effect this have on parts of the own people. Are these politicians do take part in the integration will of Islamic municipalities? Do they join cultural meetings and celebrations, like for example, the day of the open mosque?. Different cultures do not mean automatically dangers for the society, the "unknown" does not have to cause strange, integration meant not at the same time task of own culture. The basic values of all religions are the same.

The Iraq, a second Afghanistan?
Also more than 18 months after official end of the Iraq war is no peace in view. According to estimations this war demanded so far 100,000 human lives. An end is not to be foreseen. Not democracy and liberty was brought to the Iraqi people but more poverty and terror. The country stands before a splitting and a civil war. A military victory followed a political defeat.

Germany - Lahr
Chrysanthemums charms
With 250.000 visitors the chrysanthemums charm in Lahr registers new record attendance. To be remarkable is also that the flower charm becomes ever more a French-German community action, which receives its attention also over the borders of both countries.
