Conference of the world trade organization
The World Trade Organization was voting in August for exceptions of the patent protection for medicines against diseases such as AIDS and malaria. This compromise was concerned historically because poorer countries have now an entrance to cheap medicines. This meets above all the African states in those according to estimations approximately 30 million humans are infected with AIDS.
The conference of world trade in Cancun, Mexico runs less successfully. An agreement for the dismantling of the subsidies for agricultural products in the industrialized countries and the associated disadvantage for the agrarian producers in the developing countries is not further in view. The World Trade Organization is regarded in this point as failed.

Nature Share Index
In the Nature Share Index international enterprises are taken up who fulfill certain ethical-ecological criteria. In addition count for example its contribution to ecological and socially lasting solution of central mankind problems. Exclusion criteria are atomic energy, genetic engineering, armament and enterprises who suppress womans and ethnical minorities. Likewise companies do not find consideration when permiting child work as well as dictatorships support.
The nature share index was started 1997 with 1000 points. At the end of August had the index 1450 points. Thus the index shows an above average value development.

Offenburg
"One world days" - Liberty celebration
From 06 by 26 September where celebrated the "one world days" in Offenburg. A goal of the meeting is to show the population the possibilities of development assistance from local politics and from private side too. Apart from attendance from Bolivia also Christians and Muslims meet to discussions. The "One world days" are followed by a set of lectures and concerts.
At the 12.09.03 Offenburg celebrates again its liberty celebration. Offenburg was named as the liberty city because a foundation-stone was put here for the German constitution.
At the 12.09.1847 were declared the so-called 13 demands of the people by Friedrich Hecker of Baden. These demands were taken up to the German constitution. The demands were read out in a commemorative speech in 11 official languages of the European parliament as well as in Turkish. This year is in the center of attention the demand of the article 9 who claims the right to entrance to education for everybody.

Studies without border
At the 19 September were declared by 40 states in Berlin the comparability and mutual acknowledgment of the university conclusions for the year 2010. Starting from the year 2005 there should be only at German universities the examens of Bachelor and Masters.
